Frequently Asked Questions

While some topics might not apply to Yikwid Browser, you should take a look at the LibreWolf FAQ as it might help address some common issues.

------------------

Question: I think something is broken. Where can I report it?

Many features are intentionally removed or disabled in the Yikwid Browser. Instead of browser "features", Yikwid is aiming to leave that kind of functionality to addons or extensions.

If you still think something is wrong. Check out the support page for info on reporting and issue or contacting Yikwid.

Question: Can I re-enabled a given feature?

Depending on the feature, you might be able to re-enable your desired feature either in the browser settings or by changing a setting in about:config.

Certain "features" cannot be re-enabled within the browser, but you might be able to re-create their functionality by inclusion of extensions.

What currently cannot be effectively re-enabled in the Yikwid Browser:

Attempting to force the above to be enabled may result in a broken experience. Some of the above features may eventually be capable of being re-enabled via a setting.

Question: When will you release the next build?

Builds for the current release might take a few days, longer if there are major changes upstream that require additional development work. Yikwid Browser is based on LibreWolf which is based on Firefox; LibreWolf developers will first update their code before Yikwid Browser will update its code. If things are taking too long for your liking, you can always step up and volunteer to this project or LibreWolf to assist getting releases updated!

Question: Will you provide builds for a specific platform?

Currently the objective is to provide 64-bit builds for Linux. Next up would be Windows 64-bit builds. Anyone willing to volunteer to assist in setting up other builds are welcome to help.
